A Little About Me
Hello! Thanks for stopping by Lemongrass Spa! I’m so happy you are here! I’m Jenny Schreiber and I live in Livonia, NY (a little town in the western part of the Fingerlakes region of NY).
Here’s a few fun facts about me:
- I’ve been married to my husband, Horst, for 9 years and I’m mom to our 7 year old son, Lukas. We also have our cat, Daisy.
- Living in this part of NY we embrace all the seasons! This time of the year I love skiiing and sledding to play in the snow.
- My favorite drink is chai tea latte.

3 Tips for Winter Skincare
How dry is you skin right now? Are you thinking “ouch, help my dry cracked skin!” or “my skin is super hydrated and happy”? Winter weather can be drying for many of us! Let’s dive into 3 tips for nourished, hydrated and happy skin this time of year while experiencing dry, cold winter weather.
- Winter skincare tip #1: Choose skincare and body care cleansers with Prebiotics! Why? Here are a few benefits of our prebiotic skincare:
- Nourish Your Skin: Prebiotics act as a nutrient source for the beneficial bacteria on your skin, promoting a balanced and radiant complexion.
- Defend Against Dryness: Winter can be harsh on our skin, but prebiotics help retain moisture and strengthen the skin barrier. Say goodbye to dryness!
- Glowing Skin: With our body wash, hand wash, and facial wash with prebiotics, your skin gets the love it deserves, leaving you with a natural, healthy glow.
- Winter Skincare Tip# 2: Use a gentle exfoliating product that also moisturizes! If you aren’t exfoliating yet, it’s time to add this step! You may be tempted to do this more often but 1-2 times a week is enough! Exfoliating helps to remove the dry, dead skin cells and encourage the new ones to come through for smoother, healthier skin. We don’t want to do this too often though! You can do this on your face, body, scalp, lips, and feet too! Your skin is different on all of those different places so we have different options designed to help each of those areas including our body polishes, facial polishes, scalp scrub and foot scrub!
- Winter Skincare Tip #3: Cold air zaps hydration, so a rich moisturizer is a must! We need to compensate for the change in weather and humidity by adding more moisture to the skin and helping to retain it. We have a variety of moisturizer options! Choose from light (Hand and Body Lotion) to a bit deeper moisturizer (body icing) or our thickest deepest Ultra Hydrating Creme and Body Butter.
